I flunked maths and physics in school, more times than I care to remember.
Sometime in the 17th century, a French mathematician and physicist (Blaise Pascal) wrote these words:
"The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of."
Sometime towards the end of the 20th century, someone quoted the same to me in a handwritten letter.
But now, well over a decade later, when some things just don't make sense these are the only words that I can fall back upon.
Everything's changed, and only for the better, but there is a part of me that still thinks about "us". Which explains why even now, when we can only refer to each other in the past tense, a song I may have heard a hundred times before, with you or without you, will suddenly remind me of you.
Yesterday it happened twice, I heard these two songs and felt a chill go down my spine.

My heart has its reasons for still remembering, of which neither reason nor I, or anyone else for that matter, knows nothing of.
We look better together under the spot light of memories, and it's probably where we'll stay until fadeout.

Memories! When I was 18, I had a crush on a chap who looked like Kenny Loggins.

That's poetry, it is! :)
Your writing=sheer bliss.
'and it's probably where we'll stay until fadeout.'
That's what I used to think but Fate thought otherwise - with a little help from the two of us.
Hmmmm..the crazy stuff we remember and how memories can be sparked off by a song, a tone, a scent......Some good memories, some bad ones..but they're ours all the same. Sorry to be presumptuous but the tone has changed..and your so much happier with YOU.
Hugs..
