I love birthdays. My own and of the ones I love. I believe that birthdays should be celebrated no matter what. Because you're really celebrating the life of an individual. Ironically, I have been surrounded by the some of meanest party poopers for most of my life. How can you not be happy for someone on their birthday, how can you not want to make them feel special. For me, birthdays are about making people feel special and it doesn't matter how you do it. You don't have to spend a bomb or make a big show of it to all and sundry. Just let the person know how much they mean to you. Show your appreciation, your affection, your gratitude, if any.
