Thanksgiving is around the corner and while I am not American and have never celebrated the occasion, I have decided to do a series of posts in gratitude for my close friends. These are people who have loved me unconditionally and have always had my back. I just consider myself lucky to have them in my life and am so grateful. I am beginning with the most recent gift from the Universe.


I met him on a work-related assignment just 4 months back. He is now one of my closest friends. Protective, caring, generous, helpful, funny, mad, cracker of lame jokes and the man with the most beautiful smile ever. Thank you Universe for the insanely wonderful gift of Fawzan!

He inspires me, motivates me, and sometimes drives me up the wall with his incessant need to discipline me. One of the most endearing things about him is his concern for my Dad. He knows I am a Daddy's Girl through and through and my only wish for him is to share a similar bond with his beautiful twin girls over the years. I regret not meeting him sooner, because I am certain that my life would have been different. Thank you my dearest Fawzan. I know I keep fighting you most of the time, but I secretly love everything you do for me. You're my angel.
