It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you.

I hate temporary solutions but sometimes, you don't have much of a choice. You just have to fix the hole in the bucket, instead of buying a new one. There is an upside to the situation though, as with almost everything in life and it is so crucial to catch glimpses of it now and then if not always. Living on borrowed time and resources can make you work just that much harder, to change the things around you and set everything right.

Sometimes, you have to stop looking at the big picture for a while. You have to sit back and look around you and watch all the little things float in honeyed tones and shimmering lights. You have to spin inside the circle and not stop until you're out of breath and giddy enough to hurl. Then you pick of one of the small delightful objects and place it somewhere else, then pick something else from there and put it in another corner, and so on and so forth.

You have to rearrange all the little things, which may or may not add up to that one big thing. Take the red and black lamp that's next to the television and place it in a corner of your bedroom, just below the mirror. Remove that big yellow box from under your bed and place it at the foot. Look towards it for inspiration the next time you're stuck for ideas.

And sometimes, you have to just stop being who you are and become what you want to be.
