Of Mice and Men

If 99% per cent of the men surveyed agree that the Gillette Turbo Mach 3 gives them the best shave, I'm wondering why one per cent does not. Are they the ones that go to their friendly neighbourhood barbers with those old fashioned razors or do they just use a better brand? Seriously, I think not having one per cent agree is worse than say 20 or even 50 per cent. If I were in the marketing department at Gillette I would want to know what was up with that one per cent!

So I notice that MacDonald’s is one of the official sponsors of the Olympics. What gives? Apparently they've been sponsoring the event off and on since 1976! Junk food and athletics? I guess it makes sense to the advertisers since most people watch the games on telly and most people who watch telly are couch potatoes. So it's not MacDonald’s I'm worried about. It bothers me that the Olympic committee would want to be associated with a brand like that. I know money talks but still... I'm sure there are other places that the moolah could come from.

I’m just biding time till I can go watch the new Indy Jones flick. So pain or no pain, I'm hobbling over to the nearest multiplex to settle down for a roller coaster ride! I hope it's just as fun as the previous three. If not, I will at least have my monthly dose of caramel popcorn. I know a lot of stuff is being said about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull being a letdown. But how bad can it be? I think the worst Indy flick is better than watching some of the biggest blockbusters these days. Hell, it's definitely better than watching stupid ass TV commercials such as the above mentioned. Bite me!
