Whoever said age is just a number clearly could not count!

After a couple of days of exchanging text messages and late night phone calls with the much talked about and highly recommended younger man, I give up! It's just too ridiculous. I can barely decipher what he's trying to say, he doesn't have a clue about what appeals to me and we actually have nothing to talk about! How can they be so dumb these days? I was editing a magazine at 25 and this guy is still struggling with his shoelaces. I don't mean to generalise and say that all 20 somethings are insufferable. In fact, I know a lot of them who are really smart and interesting to talk to. But that's where I draw the line. Getting romantically involved is just out of the question. Listening to the stories my ex tells me is enough to make me stick to my decision. The poor chap actually has no clue what she and her friends 'yack' about half the time and get this, she insists on him wearing clothes that he wouldn't even be caught dead in! And so continues my search for that elusive absolutely available 40 something. Someone who's been there done that and still hangs loose. Sigh!

not really, given the rapid rate of change in popular culture aided by new-age media and other factors.. there are actually two generations between me and kindergarten.
