Nothing that's worth achieving is ever easy, no matter how much you wish it could be.

And nothing that's worth losing is ever tough, no matter how much you think it is.

Now if only I would take my own advice :-)

@Pat - It's about things we can do without, things we need to get rid of. It's much simpler than it seems.

the first is easier to understand, since it is quite apparent. the second,i think comes from experience only and initially there exists the phase of denial or refusing to accept that it is indeed easy to live without. i like how you put it in such simple words :)
